In this program, Mirai Innovation Research Institute assigns a developer or research associate to work closely with your company in order to develop an initial stage solution or working prototype using emerging technologies. The program is intended for companies to explore and test new ideas that can then be gradually incorporated into their business at a later stage.
From the beginning, we work closely with your company to understand your needs and ideas, determine the complexity of the project, and estimate the time and resources needed to complete the project. Then we assign a developer or researcher to start developing the initial stage solution or working prototype at Mirai Innovation Research Institute in Osaka, Japan.

Program Stages

The program consists of five stages to complete a project. Each stage is described below. The program
deliverables will depend on the selected solution plan described in the next section.

Application and selection process

Since we dedicate time and effort to assure that our customers get the best solution, only the right companies are accepted to our program. The company needs to identify the problem or an opportunity to improve, select the plan that best fits their needs and budget, and submit an online application at LINK before DATE.

Assessment and erollment

The selected companies will be contacted and an assessment session will be scheduled with Mirai’s technology and business development team. After defining the project outreach, we will confirm the plan selected by the compa- ny or propose a new solution plan. At this stage, the company needs to enroll the program by covering the solution plan fee. Upon enrollment, we will assign a rigorously selected developer or research associate that fits the profile needed to work on the company’s project.

Innovation proposal

Our developer or research associate will make a project proposal with the specifications and ideas defined during the assessment stage. A timeline will be established taking into consideration the project goals and technical tasks.

Development

Upon approval of the proposal, the assigned developer or researcher will start working on the project. Mirai Innovation experts will provide all the necessary guidance to the associate throughout the development of the project. The associate will have access to the tools and equipment of the laboratory at Mirai Innovation Research Institute in Osaka, Japan.

Delevery

Once the project has been completed, our associate will provide the company with the deliverables agreed in advance depending on the solution plan acquired by the company. The deliverables can go from the innovation proposal only, to the full delivery of the working prototype.

– The company can assign a company employee or trainee to come to Japan and work in the development of the project.

– The associate will have access to Mirai lab facilities, tools and hardware resources.
– The associate will receive face-to-face mentoring and guidance throughout the development of the project.
– The associate will be guided to analyze the industry, the technical challenge and proposal of a solution using emerging tech.
– The associate will develop or team up with an experienced developer assigned by Mirai Innovation in order to successfully develop the software or hardware prototype*.

The Challenge

Currently, bioprinting has two main issues: it is an expensive technology and has a lack of versatility. Previous works have presented Handheld Bio Dispensers or 3D bioprinters, but only as a single-mode use, not as a dual mechanism that covers both needs.

Our Solution

We developed an extrusion-based dual bioprinting system that can be implemented as a built-in extruder in a 3D conventional printer and as a handheld biodispenser device for manual use for covering both needs.

The Challenge

High profile clients have a high risk of suffering security outbreaks such as a kidnapping and thus it is essential to develop solutions that keep track of their daily activities and immediately launch an alert in case a security outbreak occurs.  

Our Solution

Circle Mobile Phone Application For Detecting Emergency Situations And Violence.

We developed a system that aims to monitor the activities of a person based on a mobile sensor data and speech recognition. Artificial intelligent algorithms were used to identify ongoing risk or violence events, and send alert messages to a predefined third party, such as an emergency contact or security company. When an emergency event or dangerous situation is detected, the third party receives relevant information of the event, such as GPS coordinates, camera view, and live audio, to provide assistance during the emergency.
